The Tasmanian Government understands that many Tasmanians are impacted by cost-of-living pressures and the Energy Saver Loan Scheme is a practical way to help households and small businesses transition to better energy efficiency.
According to the scheme, private residential customers, small enterprises, residential landlords, and community organisations can apply for no-interest loans of between $500 and $10,000 over three years for the installation of roof solar system, battery and other energy efficient products.
Using the Scheme, eligible participants will be able to invest in a range of products, including:
- Rooftop solar and battery storage systems;
- Electric heating /cooling, hot water heat pumps, solar hot water heating, efficient electrical appliances; and
- Building upgrades, in the form of window double glazing and insulation.
Energy efficient products will be offered through a range of vendors accredited by Brighte which already has an established network of accredited vendors across Tasmania and has been working over recent weeks with the energy efficiency sector in Tasmania to expand its network to support the Scheme.
